Midami Sushi: Your Destination for Fresh and Artfully Crafted Sushi in Oshawa

Guys. Food quality great, environment cozy, selection assortment great! This is the place is it. best quality sushi I’ve had in Durham. Sashimi was fresh and thickly sliced. Each roll made packed solid and presented beautifully.

The food was really really good, and it was super cute! They added a flower to our food which was such a nice touch. We got the chicken, and tempura Bento boxes. It was a decent amount of food for the price. Hands down the best tempura I've ever had. I'm not sure I'd get the chicken karage again, but only because the tempura was so dang good. It was so light and crispy and not soggy and oily! Parking sucks. And it's a super small restaurant, so if you're dining in I think they definitely prefer if you make a reservation first.

We had a bunch of different roles and nigiri on the side. The fish in each roll tasted fresh and really good with each roll. Also had Takoyaki, which was hot and fresh and super authentic! The size of sushi is more like Gimbap size rather than regular sushi size, so be cautious about over ordering! Overall, it was a good experience and a nice presentation!

I was here for my first time looking for a quick bite. There was a very friendly lady who welcomed me, I told her I only have a few minutes left to my lunch break and she suggested I order the dynamite and California maki which came with a side salad and miso soup! It was ready in like less than 5 minutes! The food was presented so beautifully, it tasted very fresh and extremely delicious. I don’t think I have ever had any sushi like this in all of Durham Region! Excellent service, excellent food! I recommend 100%!

Very busy for a Friday night, people either ordering out and constant flow of folks coming in to eat (despite a few tables). Great portions and service. The hot food is great. The sushi is larger than I’d normally like it to be however the thin amount of rice works for me in the California roll. As in more items less rice (no so in other restaurants). My second time coming here despite the many years I’ve lived nearby. Great place! The chicken katsu is crispy and yummy. Loved it all except for the spring roll. Nothing too salty and everything flavourful

Midami is an unassuming sushi restaurant. You would never know it was so good, from the outside! But boy, oh boy! This is some of the best Japanese food I've ever had. Large meaty rolls, with a beautiful presentation. Fresh, crispy, delicious, and fair prices! I loved it! The service was also super jovial. The decor is okay - nice, but okay. This is the only area where it pulls down the score. The street location is also not adding to its prestige. For a casual and pleasant sushi outing, I highly recommend Midami Sushi. Excellent!

Delicious sushi! It’s pricey but the pieces are big and the presentation is beautiful. We ordered a small maki tray for 5 people and we still had some leftover. The crunch and yam rolls are our favourite. The tofu bento box is also a good recommendation if you are a vegetarian. The only con is the limited seating since the place is very small and parking is very tight:

Best sushi spot in Durham. We’ve been looking for a good spot and we found one this wknd. The sushi tastes really fresh and the bento boxes like the chicken katsui are really good. We would definitely order here again.
